Hey everyonE

I’m on my second cup and the day just started!

It's been a full week, so bear with me because there's a lot to catch up on.

First, I owe you an explanation for last Monday. My mother had surgery, so my head and my heart were elsewhere, and the newsletter had to wait. She's doing okay, and has now actually ordered my siblings and me to start planning her 70th birthday party for August 7th. The original plan was to go to Florida, but those plans changed for many reasons beyond her surgery; anyway, nothing like a little chaos to bring a family together.

Yup…

I have a full week ahead of me. I’m still editing through Parker’s Demon chapters. I’m still on track to release it in the month I have in mind. Because I want to keep things consistent, I keep revisiting notes I made from previous books, starting from chapter one and closing up gaps I left open, so there are a lot of flashbacks. I’m serious when I say this book will be longer than the others. It might also be the longest book I’ve ever written. I’m actually kind of proud of that.

On the writing side, I finished editing Chapter 1 of Parker's Demon by hand, which feels like a real milestone since I've been picking it apart for weeks. I'm also narrowing my focus to just Parker's Demon for a while so I can hit my October release. I'm not saying that I’m stopping all progress on all weekly/monthly stories; just right now Parker’s Demon needs my full attention. I’ve mentioned before that this happens often, and with me planning my mom’s party in a short time and a couple of other things, I need every bit of writing energy I can hold on to.

Outside of writing, I did find time to finish one renovation project and start another. I am proud to say I made my first outdoor furniture and plan to make more. I gotta have a set…heheh...I’m also in the process of building something for my pup. He loves being outside and people-watching, so I’m making a shaded pet bed for him. We are still chipping away at the deck. The weather really slows things down. We made a mad dash to get their first coat of stain down, and wouldn’t you know it, right after it started raining. I don’t know if I will be able to get any DIY work done this week since my time will be split between writing, prepping for Romanticonn, and my mother’s birthday party.

First coat on the deck. It rained right after the first coat went on, so another coat is needed.

I'm so proud of this! I got the plans from https://www.woodshopdiaries.com/diy-chunky-outdoor-chair/

I plan to make another one and a matching sofa. Gotta have a set :)

The base for Dante's new bed.

Ignore that it's on a wheelbarrow; it's heavy, and it was the only way I could get it from the front yard to the backyard. So I used scrap lumber that was stained for something else, but hubby decided that he wants to go in a different direction. We also saved the lumber when we replaced the deck stairs.

I had another Live with Gia session on Discord Friday; because of Romanticonn, I won’t have one this Friday. I enjoy these talks, and I learn so much. I hope you can join the next one.

A couple of personal wins too: I found out I lost 8 pounds since the last time I got on the scale. I promise you I’m not dieting, just super busy…lol… and I survived my root canal on Saturday like a champ. I still would have preferred not to have had it done, but them’s the breaks.

That’s all I have for now. Until next time. Have a wonderful #GotMpreg week!

Gia

P.S. Remember, if you are going to Romanticonn July 24-25th, I will be signing on Saturday. Stop by my table, and we can have a good chat.
