Hey everyone
It’s a good day
It’s been a couple of weeks since I last updated on what I’ve been up to, and I’ve been busy. Work on the backyard is still ongoing; we’ve made a lot more progress than when we started. I even finished Dante’s Hideout. The deck is also almost complete. I swear to y’all, the weather knew we wanted to finish this before September and purposely slowed our progress… Don’t judge me. Either way, I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, and as you can see, Dante likes his new hideout. He gets to see the entire backyard and people passing by the house. I still need to find a bed for the hideout, one that can handle outdoor elements. To think this was made out of scrap wood. There’s still a lot of work to be done on the deck and backyard before we move on to the next project, which will be indoors, so even if it rains or snows, work will continue.
Writing hasn’t slowed down. I’ve been plugging away at Parker’s Demon, reshaping the story and the world. As I mentioned a few posts back, whenever I reach a certain part of the story, I like to go back and make changes. Sometimes things get deleted, but most often the scenes get longer. I think I’ve found a balance in how Parker and Aoi’s story is going. I’m listening to my characters. I have a release date in mind. Instead of October, as I originally wanted, I’m moving it to November, so look out for the pre-order. I’m really excited for what I have in store. I’ve contacted a cover artist to redo my cover. The one I thought would work for Parker’s Demon won’t, but that doesn’t mean I won’t use it for something else. I have another story in mind for when Parker’s Demon is completed.
On to another happy note, I have a new toy (not that kind of toy). I got a Ninja Slushie machine, and let me tell you, even though it was an impulse buy, it was something I needed, and I have been enjoying slushies every day. There are not many flavors I can try, so if you have recipes I could try (even the spiked ones), drop them in the comments.
