Chapter five

Silver looked at Avery, feeling betrayed. I should have known all her talk of the twins needing to get to know their father would lead up to her doing something behind my back.

"Blake and Arianna, go to your friend’s house for a bit."

"Why?" Arianna whined. "I want to stay with Da..."

"Do as I say," Silver snapped, not wanting to hear her words.

"Salvatore," his mother started, but one look from Silver shut her up.

"Blake, take Arianna with you, and don't come home until I call you."

Blake did as Silver told him to do, dragging an unwilling Arianna out the door. Elston Belle looked the same as he did the day he walked out of their lives. Dark hair slicked back as if he'd used an entire tube of gel to hold it in place, his dark gray eyes sparkled as if he had no worries in the world. His skin glowed, healthy and fit, showing the man spent hours in the gym sculpting his body to perfection.
